MIHWA Annual General Meeting

This weekend MIHWA held their “virtual” AGM and got together the executive committee from all around the world to celebrate the success of the World Cup, and to make our best efforts to improve for 2023.  In attendance were President: David Ninzatti, Director of Media, Pete Wirt, Director for Players, Duane Voss, and newly appointed from USA, Shaun McGrath!  MIHWA are delighted to welcome Shaun into our family, and believe his experience and professional approach will add tremendously to our organisation.  Martin Mecera had his hands full in Birmingham, beating every team they play on their way to a World Games medal, so could not join us this time.

In the meeting, we reflected on our successes and scrutinised closely all areas that must improve.  We celebrated the venue, and the atmosphere generated by the teams and players all being together.  We are looking carefully again at all the ways and means to better finance the games, add enhancements for the players experience, and improve our information systems, especially regarding schedules, scores and standings.

We have such a hard working team, each of us dedicated to taking on the job at hand, and importantly each of us are players!  So we know the game from that perspective, and want very much to offer up the best inline tournament in the world, bar none!

In time, updates will be published on our progress, and the full minutes of the meeting, minus all of our “Hockey” language will be available for all to see and comment upon.  Stay right here on this website for ongoing updates.  For example, soon the photos from this year will be available in the Photo section, and further news from around the world as teams prepare now to make their attempt for glory in 2023!
