Brazil is ready to samba their way into Inline history

The Americas may still be on lockdown, But from the depths of the Amazonian rainforest, to the sunshine on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is ready to samba their way into Inline history again in 2021.

Rafael Magalhaes may be feeling sad, along with his loyal team Brazil, but Rafa says that Inline Hockey is health and doing well, and he has high expectations for their return in 2021.

Rafa could not hide his disappointment when the games were suspended due to the Covid 19 situation, especially as it was looking such a promising year for Team Brazil at the masters.

But now he is even more excited, as the window is opening up for new players to join the team, and this opens up new possibilities for the stylish and passionate sporting country. The preparation begins in August of 2020, with local and national trials all over the vast country. This will build up to the final selection in January, 2021

“We hope to give more opportunity to all players who are interested in representing brazil in the next world championship to show their skills. We are also very happy that in 2021 we will be able to have a team of veterans in competition also”. Said Rafa.

This is an important development for the game, and it should hopefully serve as an inspiration to other new national teams hoping to join the MIHWA family.

“We are extremely confident and excited about the future and expecting a big party for these middle aged athletes who still have that fire of competition and most importantly, love for inline hockey”. Rafa and his team are never short of enthusiasm and passion, and if they bring that again to the next championships, the world can expect them to samba their way right back into our hearts, and possibly bring a little gold back to the Copacabana. Whatever they manage, we are all looking forward to the return of the carnival that arrives with Rafa and team Brazil.

Até breve!
